The Experience: Our roving shuckers bring the raw bar directly to you and your guests. It's interactive, personal, and always a conversation starter. There's something about a shucker appearing with fresh oysters that gets people talking, gathering, and reaching for their phones. It's one of the most photogenic moments at any event.
How It Works: Each rover is equipped with a full-service shucking utility belt and makes their way throughout your event, explaining the oyster selection, shucking to order, and serving on the spot. They carry everything your guests need: lemons, napkins, disposable serving forks, cocktail sauce, and prosecco mignonette.
Best For: Cocktail hours, wedding receptions, outdoor events, and any gathering where you want your guests mingling rather than coming to the bar.
Good to Know: Rovers are limited to serving oysters only, which keeps them fast and focused. We can also provide shrimp, snow crab, or caviar platters alongside if you'd like more variety. We recommend choosing two oyster varieties with different flavor profiles, giving guests a mini tasting experience as the rover works the room.
Bar + Rover Packages: The best of both worlds: variety, efficiency, and a bit of spectacle. Adding a rover to your bar package takes pressure off the stationary bar and ensures everyone gets their fill, while showcasing the very best of O’Shucks.

Inquire here. We’ll provide recommendations based on your headcount and work with you to build a custom roving shucker package tailored to your party. After a proposal is agreed upon, we’ll send an event contract and invoice for a 50% deposit (full payment due a week before your event). We show up → You enjoy.

We take pride in being self-contained and easy for our hosts to work with. We supply everything one would reasonably expect from a top-tier oyster bar (ice, condiments, serveware, etc.) and leave the space where we work as we found it. All we need is a small space aside (preferably out of sight of you and your guests, and out of the way of other food & bev operations) to place our cooler, which we use to refill our Rover's oyster stock and dispose of shells.
We can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and copies of shellfish tags as needed. -
2-hour packages with 1 shucker start at $500, plus the cost of shellfish.
2 shucker, or Bar + Rover packages start at $750
Cost is adjusted based on travel, demand (day of week/time of year), and event type.

We provide rovers based on a first-come, first-served basis and recommend booking as soon as possible to ensure availability.

We’ve shucked all over the state of NJ, as well as throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
We’re based in Point Pleasant, NJ, and specialize in serving Monmouth and Ocean counties. We will travel anywhere within 45 minutes of our home base at no additional cost, but anything outside that radius will be reflected in your quote based on travel time.
